West London Air Quality Report for 2007
West London boroughs routinely monitor for a range of potential air pollutants in their areas, so that compliance with nationally set air quality objectives can be evaluated. The Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) process, introduced under the Environment Act 1995, requires that local authorities periodically produce Air Quality Progress Reports setting out this data.
As a step towards coordinating air quality monitoring across the region, and as a way of conveying air quality information to a wider audience, data from these reports have been collated into a West London Progress Report. These annual documents will bring together monitoring data for nitrogen dioxide and particulate matter levels across the region for a particular year. The reports will also now include an update on the work undertaken by the group over the same period.
